Splendid petticoat made of net lace in cream color entirely embroidered with a punch of a marvellous composition of an interval of cocks in the central part and bottom, a complex floral representation. The thread used is made of white and ivory silk. Circa 1880.
The back of the underskirt is finished at a peak. Intervals are inserted vertically (2 on the front and behind) and horizontally to separate the topics from this underskirt. This interval is made of a zigzag in silk wire of cream-coloured color. This petticoat, I think, was never finished because the top is simply cut, it misses the completions of closing. The interval in zigzag, also, needs to be finished.
It is a part of an infinite and very rare beauty by the theme of its embroidery!

Height: 90 cm (for the back with the point 98cm)
Width of the waist: 116cm
Width at the bottom : 188cm
The underskirt is excellent state, the embroidered parts are in perfect state, it should just be noted that there are three or four holes (very small) in the net on the level of the waist (it will be easy to hide them by a new embroidery)
