Marvellous silk crepe shawl in café au lait color with its long fringes in perline tied with the interval. A realization with the gouache is on one angle representing a large bouquet of dalhias freshly cut. This painting was signed but I have evil to decipher it and for me, the author remains still a mystery. I have the impression that the artist painted on this support of circumstance, rather quickly, because there remain some blows of pencil under the gouache. Perhaps was this a romantic declaration for the woman who carried it, that afternoon of summer when freshness had not fallen down yet? Of inspiration of the impressionists of the time, I will date this piece of the years 1900.
Excellent condition but when put at day light, I notice some very tiny weaknesses, nevertheless, can not seen when you wear it. I did not attended to clean as I am not sure of the painting origin.
Measurements : 90cm x 90cm + 45cm of fringes.
