Very nice set of 12 napkins made from a beautiful fine linen and silk damask in white color, with in the central part, a medallion decorated with a monogram CL made in point of sand. The hems have been hand made.
The pattern of damask is typically Art Nouveau on the edge, beautiful bouquets of carnations and arabesques hang small vine leaves with rounded curves, pea seedlings and weeds. The medallion is a reminder of arabesques and range of carnations .... This pattern is a pure splendor!
Art Nouveau period 1890-1905 approximately.
The pieces are in excellent condition, no holes or weak to report. Just 2 or 3 napkins still have few tiny yellow shadows.
