Wonderful tablecloth in square shaped accompanied by its 9 entirely matching napkins embroidered in pure linen thread beautifully made (woven fine and dense) and a white color The corners of the tablecloth are decorated with an embroidered star flowers and filled with openwork bridles with small scrolls in broderie anglaise. A recall of those little star-shaped flowers set with fancy openwork small rivers decorate the center designing a cross in the middle. A lovely floral monogram GF complete a corner.
The napkins are fully embroidered on their surface, a reminder of flowers, rivers, and a small monogram CF.
This set was made entirely by hand and dates from the period 1880-1900.
The tablecloth can be used in large central table with a sub-tablecloth to fit the dimensions of your table if necessary.
Dimensions: Tablecloth: 110cm x 106cm approximately Napkins: 31cm x 30.5 cm
The tablecloth is in wonderful condition. Just note the presence of small white marks on most of the napkins (not on the tablecloth). I do not know the nature of these marks and did not want to stress the by insisting on a more pronounced wash. Laundry specialist can certainly deal with them. It looks like dried milk. That said, they are totally be used in state.
All my old linen are cleaned by hand, starched and then ironed with care, ready to be used and grace your interior. |
